ELA tutoring is divided into two primary areas of learning: printing and composition. Students of all ages and abilities will benefit from one or both of these instructional areas.
Printing skills primarily focus on increasing the legibility of handwriting and becoming proficient with cursive script. Practice includes instruction in eye to hand coordination, arm, wrist, and hand movement, size of letters, spacing, upper and lower case letters, along with sentence and paragraph structure.
Composition skills will include instruction and practice lessons enabling the students to successfully put down thoughts and ideas in a clear, easy to understand way. Composition practice begins with easy to understand paragraphs and builds on prior knowledge, expanding into reports, essays, term papers, and narratives.
